I feel like I say this a lot, but this week has been insanely crazy.  Part of the craziness on top of normal activities, has been prepping everything at the house as Jason and I are heading out on a much needed 9 day get away.  We are usually not gone this long from the girls so even though we are super excited, it is at a kind of crazy time of year.  We are praying for some much needed R&R.  In the meantime, I've spent the week prepping meals to leave in the freezer, writing out instructions for getting the girls to their bajillion activities all over the city and putting little labels around our house like below.  If you don't live in Jordan, you may not understand that things like a running toilet emptying the water tank or having too much electric items going at once are real concerns!!

Well this is the best I got today and it pretty much sums up this day.  After an emotionally disastrous morning that including me crying on the way to school about something totally random related to future weddings and my older 2 looking at me like I'd truly lost it, then crying again when I saw Abbey's completed senior pics, then laughing hysterically over something that I think I will not mention, yeah, following all that, I brought the groceries home, plopped then on the kitchen floor only to discover a good 10 minutes later when I started putting them up that the balsamic vinegar had broken and sealed all over anything and everything!   OH well, thank goodness tomorrow is a new day!!

Abbey and Maddie have played on the school soccer team this year and have enjoyed it although they really haven't gotten to play that many games.  Finally got a game this weekend and even though the team was a good bit younger, they had fun.  Maddie even got some time as goalie- that was new and I don't think she loved it but she was a good sport!

Another full day at the baseball field followed by the school talent show.  These surprised their parents with a mash up of the Gilmore Girls theme and You've Got a Friend in Me.  I am proud to say, I managed to keep it together and not cry, although I'm pretty sure they made themselves cry... HA!

It's been a crazy busy week with Jason out of town and looking to be an even crazier weekend- but super fun.  Tonight was Junior/Senior Banquet at the girls school- their version of prom.  

Who would have thought that these girls that first met as kindergarteners in Lebanon would one day get ready for prom together?   And yes, time flies...  No shortage of tears around here these days.

And since it's the day after Easter, we put our handprints on our tree skirt from Christmas...  But as one of my friends pointed out, at least I HAVE a tree skirt with handprints on it- that's something, right?!

One of our dear friends here did Abbey's senior pics for us at the Citadel overlooking the city.  It turned out to be the perfect location and maddie and I definitely had fun tagging along.  Beautiful day, beautiful setting and maybe I'm biased, but beautiful girls to photograph too...

Meredith is such a gifted photographer- so thankful!  

Most of my pics were of the goofy sidekick trying not to get in the way of the photo shoot.  Didn't want to take any of Meredith's pictures from over her shoulder...

That time you take an impromptu weekend trip to Aqaba and get a flat tire 3 hours in to the 4 hour drive down...  Thankful for friends who were close behind who could at least pull up and laugh at us once it was all said and done...'

The girls were super thrilled about having to unload the car and even more thrilled when i tried taking a picture of them...

I had to send Anabelle away.  Far far away into the desert.  Her comments like "ugh, can we call the mechanic?  I don't think dad knows what he's doing!"  and "this is so annoying!"  Were not really helping Jason's state of mind...

At least there was a pretty sunset?
