 A perfect first day at the beach!  Finished off at the Shrimp Basket- one of our gulf faves...

Creating a new shrimp lover in the family!

Perfect first day finished off by Anabelle's first crab hunt on the beach.  To say she was beyond terrified is a slight understatement!  

Here sisters on the other hand were grabbing up crabs with their bare hands...

Except for the super big ones...

Beach bound!  (eventually)

Woke the kids up at 4:30, loaded the car, headed to moms, her car was leaking gas...

Unload the car, wait 2 hours to take it to the shop, eat our donuts on the porch, walk around the block, rent a car and finally get on the road!

Today's Memphis fun involved our friend's backyard pool and trying on my old prom and bridesmaids dresses...

Ok and this dress has a story.  Before I left for college, my Memommy made almost all of my dresses- Sunday dresses, formal dresses- all of them. Anyway, my first winter formal in college, she and Granddaddy packed up her sewing machine and she drove down to Clinton to make my dress for the dance.  She came to my dorm and finished it in her hotel room.  

I think Maddie might wear it better though!  I mean I think it's still pretty, right?! (it's dark green velvet if you can't tell...)

 A day at the Memphis Zoo!  So amazingly hot but still super fun except that the new baby hippo was not out and about today...
