He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress and for his children it will be a refuge.

Day 148

January 9, 2017

Boring evening at home, back to the school routine.

Watching Sherlock with Dad...

Weird reading positions?  Maybe...
But those radiators are the only warm thing in our house so we do what we can!

Day 147

January 8, 2017

These two are trouble in the best possible way!

Quote of the day:
AB:  MOM!  Kenzie and Naomi both have guns and they won't let me have one- they have 2 guns and I have none guns and that's SO NOT FAIR!  They will only let me have bombs...

Hard at work finishing up a school art project over the break...

Day 146

January 7, 2017

The instigator and the drama mama....

Day 145

January 6, 2017

That's one way to text...

This one is gonna get energy out one way or another.  I'd rather it be balancing on a soccer ball than teaching the 5 year old to juggle...

Day 144

January 5, 2017

The bet was that if she was up and awake by 9 AM (COMPLETELY unheard of), i would make whatever she requested for breakfast...

Well...

Blueberry pancakes, cheese grits, sausage AND bacon.  At least my lost bet benefited the whole fan!

Day 143

January 4, 2017

Take it from someone who knows... Don't make a bet with a hyper teenager at 1:30 AM.  It will not turn out well for you.

I walked through the living room at 1:30 AM to heat up the heating pad for my neck and made a bet with the teen under the blanket (and no, she was not hiding from the camera- this is how I found her)

Results of the bet on tomorrow's picture...

Day 142

January 3, 2017

3 days in, I guess I have to acknowledge the fact that 2017 did indeed come.  The year that somehow for 17 years I never thought would arrive.  The year that we launch our first baby.  The year that our family lives as we have always know them will never quite be the same.

So proud of this girl.  Drama queen, diva, super klutz (I can say that because she got it from me), most amazingly intelligent girl all wrapped up into one.  She's going places and I can't wait to see where God takes her...

That's all I have to say about that for now.  It's late over here and I don't want to cry myself to sleep.

Day 141

January 2, 2017

After a freezing night in Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea was the absolute perfect place to warm up.

Who knew that camping could be so exhausting...

Yay for heated pools,

beautiful balcony views,

and room service...

Day 140

January 1, 2017

A day and freezing cold night in the desert was the perfect start to the New Year.  No nighttime pics though- impossible to capture the beauty!

Day 139

December 31, 2016

So thankful for FaceTime and Skype to connect with family over the holidays...

Got in lots of family movie nights.  Sometimes we had to improvise...

Day 138

December 30, 2016

I have no idea...

Day 137

December 29, 2016

Puzzles are a must over the holidays.  This year we just managed one although we have covered the whole table before.  Anabelle got in on the action this year and was actually quite a good little puzzle worker!

Day 136

December 28, 2016

Between dropping kids off at different social events and waiting to pick them back up, I finally got to check out the Sam's/Costco store that I haven't made it to yet.  They were a little too proud of most of their stuff but I did make Jason and Abbey's day with the massive bottle of Nando's sauce!

(and yes, they were way proud of that too, but some things are worth it!)

Day 135

December 27, 2016

I bought some red leggings online thinking how fun.  Yeah, SOOOO red.  They will never be worn outside by house but they are super comfortable.  Girls called them my Christmas elf leggings.  Oh well..
